Benjamin Franklin said "Show me your cemeteries and I will tell you what kind of people you have." We believe that goes for all historical sites. Our job here at the Arlington Chapter of the APTA is to not only preserve our historical sites throughout the town, but to educate the public and private sectors on the history of Arlington, Tennessee.
APTA (Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities) is a statewide nonprofit historic preservation organization established in 1951. The Arlington Chapter, chartered on 21 May 1979, promotes and preserves Arlington history through five historic sites maintained by the Chapter and through community activities and events. If you are interested in joining the Arlington Chapter or for more information email Apta.arlington.tn@gmail.com and follow us on Twitter @AptaArlington
If you would like to get involved and become a member of the APTA annual membership dues are only $20 a year. This money goes towards helping pay to restore and preserve our historical sites.
